Study Prints

Study prints are 11x17 printable .pdf files of the floor plan(s) with room labels and overall sizes, all four exterior elevation views and the square footage tabulations by area (i.e living space, garage, porch, etc.) These are an affordable way to more closely review a plan to determine if it is right for you. PDF files of plans will be emailed to you (typically within one business day) upon confirmation of payment.

Construction Prints

Construction prints are the actual plans you will need for bidding, permitting and building. Plan requirements vary by region and municipality, so additional drawings or modifications may need to be done by a design professional in your area. See the individual plan information pages for a specific list of sheets included for each plan. PDF files of plans will be emailed to you (typically within one business day) upon confirmation of payment.

License for use of plans from DCA Design, llc

The plans you have purchased are the copyrighted intellectual property of DCA Design, llc. Purchase of Construction Prints grants the purchaser a one-time use license to construct the home one time, at one location. Plan cannot be built multiple times by the purchaser or others without first establishing an agreement with DCA Design, llc to do so and payment of all applicable fees. Whether the project is constructed or not, plan cannot be sold by purchaser to a third party. Study Prints are for review of plan only and do not give purchaser any rights to use plan for construction or modification.

Any use of the plans, or modifications to the plans, is done at the purchasers own risk. Purchaser must have the plans reviewed by a local design professional and / or engineer prior to commencement of construction. Plans are a guide to indicate design intent. The builder is responsible for providing good building practices and knowledge to result in a sound and weatherproof home. DCA Design, llc assumes no responsibility for any home which may be built from these plans.

It is the responsibility of the builder to ensure that all codes, ordinances and industry standards are met. DCA Design, llc shall not be held liable for any errors or omissions which may occur in these plans.

Many of our plans do not include framing plans. A local licensed engineer must be consulted to provide framing plans meeting all applicable codes and ordinances. If framing plans are provided, they are intended as a general guide only and must be reviewed by a local licensed engineer. The foundation plan and details provided with plans were designed for generic conditions or, in some cases, designed for the specific lot conditions where design was originally built. In either case, foundation plan and details are provided as a guideline only. Lot specific foundation plans must be provided by a licensed engineer.
